Firstly ensure you have the latest download of the Sophia template installed (1.0.2).

The preset loader allows you to load all template settings used in the example styles demonstrated on the template demo (eg. http://www.joomla51.com/demo/0155/index.php/example-styles/example-styles-1). To use simply select the example style you wish to load from the dropdown in your screenshot and click Load Preset. Note that all your template settings will be replaced with that of the style you have selected. For this reason I would suggest creating a copy of your template style first (Save as Copy)). This effectively creates a backup of your style settings.

This Load Preset sounds usable/interesting. I can't find "Load Preset" , could you point me in the direction to find/use this.

Presuming you have the latest download of each of these templates installed, the option should be available to you in the Details tab of your template style settings.

Downloading the NEWEST latest template, did produce the load presents options. I will re-iterate unzip the download to your joomla 3.x Install Files, then install folder and then point Joomla install to that newly unzipped folder.

I was also happy to see that it updated all of my duplicated templates, I.e. j51_kinvara homepage only., j51_kinvara all other pages.
