Hi Ciaran,

I want to reduce the white space between the text and the slideshow.
It's huge now. How can I fix that?

Hi Edgar

Have you since found a solution to this issue? Your screenshot is showing a bigger space than what is on your website.

Hi Ciaran,

yes after a long search I found the issue, there was 1 image in the slider which was a different size.
Sorry for bothering you.

Thanks anyway,
Edgar

Hi Ciaran,

sorry but the problem is still there.
I saw when I have 4 images into the slideshow, everything runs normally.
But when I add 1 more, white space is there !!

Hi Ciaran,

I tried again, but there seems to be a problem with different browsers.

https://prnt.sc/r5qkyi > Chrome
https://prnt.sc/r5r1o3 > Firefox
https://prnt.sc/r5qpnc > Brave
https://prnt.sc/r5qrd9 > Opera

Can you help me to solve this problem?

Hi Edgar

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.showcase-1 .module_surround {
padding-bottom: 0;
}

Hi Ciaran,

I added it to the custom CSS field.
Edge | Firefox | Opera is ok!

Now the problem is only in Brave | Chrome
Both like this > https://prnt.sc/r5wd0n

I tried something:
When I have 4 images in the slideshow, space is gone, but when I have 5 or 6 images in the slideshow, there is the whitespace again.
And the images are all the exact size!

Hi Edgar

Have you since been able to resolve this issue? I have checked your site in both Chrome and Brave and they each display the same as Firefox.

Hi Ciaran,

No, the problem isn't solved with the joomla51 slideshow.
I just added another Slide into my website to look if it works, and it works with another slideshow. (FAV slider)
But my whole website is with Joomla51 components, so it just should work.

I hope there is a fix for it.

Hi Edgar

Our issue is that we can not replicate your problem on every browser available to us (Chrome, Canary, Firefox, FF DevEd and Edge). Can you confirm that you have cleared your browser cache?

Hi Ciaran,

I just cleared my browser again.
But I still have the problem with Chrome, Canary, Brave & Opera.

On Firefox and Edge, everything is ok.

Hello

It seems very strange. I see nothing in your site markup that can cause extra space below your slideshow and unable to replicate. A shot in the dark but could you try using the attached 'lite' version of the LayerSlideshow. This extension includes all the features you are currently using.
