Hi there,

I have J51_Haley installed and would like to switch to J51_Stella.
Seems there is an issue with mod_j51layerslideshow.
I installed a copy of the site here: http://www.rent-a-ruin.de
Actually the version 1.1.4 of the layerslideshow-module (came with J51_Haley) is installed.
The slideshow does not work as it should as you may see.
When upgrading to the version that comes with J51_Stella (1.1.9), the slideshow dissappears.

btw: in the demo-installer the version of layerslideshow is 1.1.1.
I already updated the template files to the latest version this morning.
Original site with J51_Haley and working layerslideshow may be seen here: https://www.braun-immowert.de/

Any idea how to solve this?

best regads,
Thomas

Hi Thomas

Does opening your slideshow module setting and saving resolve the issue? If not may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hello Ciaran,
quite the same problem here.

I installed a fresh version of Stella and then the mod_layerslideshow and configured 3 images (no text).
I can slide them manually but its not running automatically.

I uninstalled LayerSlideshow version 1.1.7 and installed 1.1.6 and then 1.1.5.. no of them running. So it might be a problem with the template itself? Or maybe with the reference of the js-file?

I have errors on maximum but I see none.

Only thing see I see in source code is a little syntax error in the reference of <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/waypoints/4.0.1/noframework.waypoints.min.js""></script> but thats not the reason I am sure.

Do you have found a solution? Or a workaround? Should I install an older version than 1.1.5?

Regards
Oliver

Hi Thomas

There is a number console errors on your site which I suspect is coming from one of your enabled plugins. Could you disable any plugins you are not using.

Hi Ciaran,

I now disabled a lot, slideshow is not shown.
You may do anything you want at this site-copy.

I see one error which seems to come from the slideshow (cause it disappears when I switch off the slideshow):

Oh I see, it works now after killing the plugins.
So I need to figure out now, which one causes the problem - after my vacation.

Thank you!

Hi Ciaran,

the problem is the plugin AllVideos (by JoomlaWorks). The J51-layer-slideshow does not work when it's activated.
Both are actual, JW-plugin and J51-module.
When activating the AllVideo plugin this error appears in the console:

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).owlCarousel is not a function
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (75dce4b827a13a4a46da6150d79f2be0.js:82)
at u (75dce4b827a13a4a46da6150d79f2be0.js:1)
at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (75dce4b827a13a4a46da6150d79f2be0.js:1)
at ready (75dce4b827a13a4a46da6150d79f2be0.js:1)

Any way to solve that?

Best regrads,
Thomas

Hi Thomas

Does your JW-plugin module use the Owl Carousel script (https://owlcarousel2.github.io/OwlCarousel2/)? And if so which version is it loading?

Sorry for late response.
The all-video-plugin was updated meanwhile.
This update solved the problem so that everything is fine now with the slideshow.
