Nocturne: White background and vertical menu

Any ideas how to make the whole site a white background without the grey shadow?
Also how do you make the menu vertical in sidecol a?

Would you have a URL to an example of the grey shadow?

To float your menu items vertically in the sidecol-a module positions try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...


#sidecol_a ul li {

    float: left !important;

}

#sidecol_a ul li a {

    margin-top: 0 !important;

}

Hey thanks Ciaran,
I ended up using the substance template which didnt have any issues getting the white background.
The side menu help is much appreciated!
