My question is not related to a certain template. I would like to learn more about the module positions Showcase, Showcase-1A, Showcase-1B, ...

I experience that at module position «Showcase» nothing happens (nothing is visible). And I don't see any difference between module position Showcase-1A, Showcase-1B, ... Whatever module position I choose, the module is always displayed at the very same position.

Your map «module positions» indicates that the modules placed at any of the positions Showcase-1A, Showcase-1B, ... would respect the width of the maincontent. But with J51_Layla it does not. The module content always begins at the very left edge of the browser window. This is ok for a slider, but I can imagine other types of content that do not look good there.
