I'm getting ready to start building a few more sites, and so have been reviewing template demos with consultants to select the best template. (All Joomla 51 of course! Far and away, the favorite template for my next site, among all my consultants was "Renovate." However, 2 of them experienced the same difficulty with the template - they had difficulty finding the menu.
In investigating this further, I found that both of those who experienced this difficulty had Macbooks with smaller screens. So when "Renovate" pulled up, it appears that it defaulted to a size on those screens that was to small to display the dropdown menu, but too big to reveal the responsive "Menu" icon - so it just appeared as blank space. We were able finally to see the dropdown menu again by manually expanding the size of the image, dragging from bottom corner. Or, we could find the "responsive" menu by making the screen smaller. But, both consultants were mystified and put off by this at first - by not being able to see a menu, and therefore not knowing where to go in the site.
In experimenting a little - it appears that 1) In the "not-Responsive" option this problem doesn't occur; and 2) other consultants using PC's or larger Mac's didn't have this problem. I really want to use Renovate, as it is utterly beautiful and perfect for my content - but am nervous about new users not being able to find a menu, which is core navigation for my site. I assume I'm fine if I just unclick "Responsive?" Or, do you have any other thoughts or suggestions about this?
