Hi Ciaran,

I've added some font styles into the Slide Title of the "J51_LayerSlideshow" module.

<font color="#950e1f">e</font>+<font color="#950e1f">s</font> <font size="+2">GmbH</font> – Expert:innen für Gebäude- und Anlagentechnik</br>

In some browser I'm getting fragments of the Slide Title below the module. I've attached a picture with the issue. I'm quite sure this is just a litte error on my site.

Thank you and kind regards,
Manfred

Hallo MySigma,

I think this issue occurs because of the inverted commas ".

If you remove them then it should be solved. I am not quite sure if this was the problem, but I seem to remember that I already had this problem too :D

Hi Oliver,

Which inverted commas do you mean? Do you mean <..="xxx">? They are part of the syntax, aren't they?

Manfred

Hello Manfred,

yes they are but they are not mandatory.
You can also write it like this

<font color=#950e1f>e</font>+<font color=#950e1f>

Just try it ;)

Hi!

I've tried it... the " are added automatically again.

Hi Manfred

Would you have a URL to an example of this issue?

Note that the use of font HTML tags is a bit dated and no longer supported in HTML5 (https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_font.asp).

Thank you

As mentioned, the font html tag is not supported in all browsers. Instead, try using the following instead...

<span style="color: #950e1f">e</span>+<span style="color: #950e1f">s</span> <span style="font-size: 2rem">GmbH</span> – Expert:innen für Gebäude- und Anlagentechnik</br>

Hi Ciaran,

sorry, your code didn't fix it. It seems that the complete code is also inserted as "alt=" attribute of the slideshow picture. Maybe that's the problem for some browsers(versions)?

Hi Ciaran,

Thank you so much. What did you change? Is there now something to take care of with the template?

Hi Manfred

As the title was also used within some alt tags, the html was having some negative effects on your slideshow markup.
