Hi,

I use Noctuane template on Joomla! version 3.6.4.
I added the new module for the language switcher on the top-right under SNS icons.
The layout is OK on the PC browser (Google Chrome, IE, Firefox for Windows), but the width of Main Menu area became short on mobile (Android phone) like the attached file (in red square area).
How can I resize it?

Hi Sarah

Would you have a URL to an example of this issue?

Hi Ciarán,

Thanks for a reply.
My site is not completed, so it's offline now.
There are many people who knows the URL of my site, so I can't publish until it's completed.
Can I set it only for you to see my site?

Hi Sarah

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hi Ciarán,

I started using Joomla! 3.6.4 last month, so I'm sorry I don't know so much about the setting and I'm still learning by myself.
So could you please tell me how to set it in detail and to send it to you?

For your information, I did the things below.
Before setting these, the layout was OK on both PC (But the same thing happens when I shorten the width of the browser) and mobile.

1. I created a new module position in the header area of my template from your tutorial at https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/creating-a-new-module-position-in-the-header-area-of-your-template

2. I changed the setting a bit like these on Custom CSS field.
[English Page]
#header {
position: relative;
}
#languagesw {
height:50px;
margin:0;
padding:0;
position: absolute;
right:0px;
top:50px;
width:145px;
z-index:99;
}

[Japanese Page]
#header {
position: relative;
}
#languagesw {
height:50px;
margin:0;
padding:0;
position: absolute;
right:0px;
top:70px;
width:125px;
z-index:99;
}

Hello

It is very difficult for us to say what may be causing your issue without access to a live version of your site. To allow us access you can create a new user via your user manager with administrative access to your site. We can then access your sites frontend with this user.

Thank you Sarah

To amend your issue try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
#header {
width: 100% !important;
}}

Hi Ciarán,

I added the source you mentioned to the Custom CSS field of my templates, and it works fine.
And now the layout looks very good.
Thank you so much for your quick help!
