In a narrow set of circumstances, Dreamweaver CS5 crashes with J51_polaris. I loaded Polaris as a template on a Joomla 3.2.3 site. Works well - no problems so far. But because I wanted to edit some of the files - so far only css - I downloaded the template files into Dreamweaver.. When it creates the cache and comes to php files (maybe only elements/checkbox.php since that file was referenced when the caching crashed), Dreamweaver closes and will not re-start. Remove these files and all is well - then you can stop the create cache option and restore the php files and all is well. Note that I am talking about local - the actual site is not affected. Weird. I'd call it a bug with Dreamweaver although i did not have any problem with local copies of the Evolution template. This post is just for information since I can work around it easily. (Either no cache or no local PHP files).

Hi John

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

As you are using Joomla 3.x you can actually remove this file without effecting your template. This file is only used for Joomla 2.5. A note to self is to remove this file from the Joomla 3.x template in future ;

Sorry, I checked further and the file causing the crash is not the one highlighted by Dreamweaver in the "create cache" message but styles.php. If I delete styles.php from the local files, then there is no problem. But thanks for your quick response.
