Could you try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters..

z-index: 99;
}

I may be getting confused a bit by your issue.

Checking in Firefox, Chrome and IE your Twitter icons is displaying correctly. There was a issue with not the whole icon been linked which has been amended by changing the z-index.
