Morning Ciaran,
My client likes and has Chosen j51 Elvira, but also likes the VideoBackground in J51Boutique,
odd question, "Technically"
Would I be able to ,install "Boutique" as the Home page, so I get the Video Background, and maniuiplate tthe Modules of Boutique to look like Elvira and use Elvira as all the subpages?
BUT
Make the Boutique menu behave the same as the Elvira Menu?

Hi Patrick

Sorry to say this option is not easily available. Have you considered using a 3rd party video module extension in the showcase module position?

Thank you, I got a video module that does the trick. And I am able to assign it and make it work in ANY position EXECPT Showcase!! and, of course, That's where i need it!

As you know....
In Elvira , the showcase header background color is controled by the template Style.
When I insert 0.0.0.0 and Save in "Header Background Color" the template changes the color to the template default.
I tried to create a Modue Style Override, in the "J51_Elvira - Ciaran's v menu Video Header Template" it has no effect.

I am hoping that with a Transparent header will allow the JUX Background Video to appear as it does in the module below.
Can you please take a look?

Hi Patrick,
I am certainly no expert but using the dev tools I was able to get your transparent png placeholder image to appear by doing this:
In Custom CSS (either in the template or in the file you create in the CSS folder) add:
#container_header_slide {
background-color: transparent !important;
}
#container_slideshow {
background-color: transparent !important;
}

The vegas slide docs say there is a place for a background:
https://vegas.jaysalvat.com/documentation/settings/
I haven't used it before but if you find it you should be able to change the color to transparent;

I don't know if that will fix the entire problem but it will get you closer.
I didn't see the video being called in the source code, and it looks like a different extension than your example below that. But maybe I just don't understand it.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so Much Mike,
That's definately better Than before. I think, if I can get the Showcase Module to be 100% width and flush to the top of the page it will work.... Would you have any idea about the CSS for that... Or point me in the direstion for me tom find it? you said "using the dev tools" Whats That?

Hi Patrick, Glad that helped.
Try adding #container_slideshow {padding-top: 0px !important;} to the custom CSS.
Ciaran will have to give you some advice on making it full width. But you might try this:
#container_header_slide.wrapper960{width:100% !important;}

It looks like either your slide or the slideshow module has a min height of 300px, guessing you'll need to increase that.

Also the video disappears on mobile, probably a setting on the backend in that module but the module position still appears so there is a blank there. You might want to adjust that.

Shift+Control+I brings up the dev tools on most browsers on a PC. There you can use the tools to check out the CSS.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Mike.... Yor suggestions were great. Sadly
#container_header_slide.wrapper960{width:100% !important;} Didn't work for me..... Hopefully Ciaran will be able so sort it out.

Yeah.... "Mobile Issues" . . . .can't we just go back to Land Lines? ;)

Hey Patrick, that does look a lot better, but an even closer match than black is #060606 that matches the background color of the video pretty closely.
Nice work!
