Hello Ciaran,

So I uploaded and installed Sophia according to your directions and I think I removed all evidence of the former template with K2, T3, etc. But, I can't get to the home page. It only displays my article page. I went to install Sophia Demo Installer package and this is the message I received

"Warning JInstaller: :Install: Can't find Joomla XML setup file. The Joomla package cannot be installed through the Extension Manager. Please use the Joomla! Update component to update Joomla."

Joomla is updated to version 3.8.13

I also see this message under warnings but I have no idea what I need to do and I also read the joomla article you suggested on the other posts ..

"if you are having issues with manifest files not being detected or uploaded files not being detected, setting this in your php.ini file might fix the issue."

Can you tell me what I might need to do? I prefer to use the demo as my guide. Thanks

Hello

For details on setting up the template demo installer may I suggest the following article... https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/demo-installer/setting-up-the-demo-installer

Please note that the demo installer is for new sites as it will delete all your current website data.

OK, except I already have a folder and database from the previous template. I'm going to try this via cpanel and via the folder. I'll let you know if this works. Thanks

OK, its uploaded but I thought if I uninstalled the previous template, from extension/manager that all of its components would be removed as well. I didn't expect to still have its menu, modules, etc. I also disable the t3 of previous template. Still I uploaded the Sophia Demo Installer and it still does not give me the demo template not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hello

Does Joomla install for you after uploading the template demo? Have you selected Template Demo in the 3rd (sample data) step of the Joomla installation?
