Do I install template Joomla 4 version before or after upgrading to Joomla 4?

So, after upgrading, the website will be OK even if the Joomla 4 template is not installed yet?

Hello

If you have updated to Joomla 4 but still have the Joomla 3 version of the template installed and enabled, the front end of your website will be inaccessible.

Certainly not. The Joomla 4 front-end with the Joomla-3-version of the template will most likely display an error message. The back-end will be OK though. So you will be able to install the Joomla-4-version of the template.
