Hi Jose

I have just updated your purchase to the Joomla 4 version of the template which should be now available for you to download via your Profile -> Template Downloads.

Hello

For users of the Joomla 3 version of a template who wish to update a Joomla 4, we have created a coupon which offers a 50% discount. This coupon can be applied on checkout of the Joomla 4 template...

Hi, too bad we don't all get the same treatment, especially for long time users like me. I don't plan on buying the same template twice.

Hello

I was under the impression that Jose had purchased the Joomla 3 version of the template in error which was why I offered to change the purchase to Joomla 4.

Considering Joomla 4 requires a complete re-write of the template, it would be in no way feasible for us to offer this update free of charge. I realise that for some, this may not be ideal however the choice for us was to either close our doors, which many template clubs have already done (eg. https://joomlashine.com/) or place a charge on the update. Our templates are among the most affordable on the market and we do give this 50% discount to previous customers for these updates. We hope that most will find this charge acceptable.

Hi,

this makes sense for new customers who'd like to buy your Renita template, you have no choice to rewrite it if you want to keep selling it since it's not compatible with Joomla 4.x... In my case, it makes no sense to buy the same template twice just to rebuild the same website before Joomla 3.x end of support. I'll look for a new design instead, here or elsewhere.

Hello

Updating to Joomla 4 should not require a rebuild of your site. Migrations steps are detailed in the following Joomla article...https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_3.x_to_4.x_Step_by_Step_Migration

Once upgraded, install the Joomla 4 version of all extensions and you should be good to go.

Unfortunately considering the current decline in the Joomla market, the only 2 viable options for us were to either close our doors or add a cost to updates. With the latter option, at least our customers have the option. A number of template clubs have not given that option.

It's a very easy process, and well worth the money. Anything of quality like these templates is worth spending money on to support the developer's effort.
