hello, when i want to update the current layla template joomla4 from version 4.0.6 to 4.1.0 i always get an error message.
Other templates from here in joomla4 work fine. Is an error already known?
Greetings Alex

Hello!
No I don't think so, I recently had a page with the Templ Layla from J 4.0.6 to J 4.1 for testing. updated.
This is surely a problem that has to do with joomla itself, your provider or other things!
What error message do you get exactly?
(In the config. settings: Server - set "Report errors" to "Maximum"
From which country do you come ?
Here is a very good German Joomla forum: https://forum.joomla.de/
maybe your problem is already there! use search...
Best regards

Hello, I am from Germany,
I have a server myself and some of my customers are there - many run with joomla51 templates and also the 4 version - I had no problems with the update there, only with Layla, which is on two sites at the same time - that's why I turned to here.
If it were joomla there would have been problems with my other installations too... it was only with the layla template.
But I would like to take a look...
Best regards Alex

Hello Ciaran,
thanks for your help - the link worked now. There is a message that the files have been overwritten by the template - is that ok?

Ah ok. That wasn't clear from your first post.
I assume you bought the latest template Layla for Joomla 4! (current version: 1.0.9)
I can't do more then... sorry

Hello, yes I have the current version 1.0.9 installed and there is still a message from joomla that it needs to be updated and the red screen appears when I perform the update.
maybe that helps... would be grateful for a tip.

Hi Alex
Considering Joomlas architecture and the strong separation of concerns, it wouldn't be possible for a template to affect your Joomla updating. Have you tried updating your site by uploading a Joomla update package found here?... https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla4/4-1-0 (Joomla! 4.1.0 Upgrade Package).

Hello, I get the following message when I upload the file via the installation window:
JInstaller: :Install: The XML installation file could not be found.
Joomla package cannot be installed like other extensions. The Joomla update component must be used for this.

Hello
You appear to be installing a Joomla update package. As it mentions in the error message, this must be installed using the Joomla update component (..//administrator/index.php?option=com_joomlaupdate&view=upload).
