Hi Ciaràn,

how can I completely remove the yellowish transition effect in madison everytime when clicking on a new page: https://www.kerschbaumerhof.com/
This feature has an adverse effect on PageSpeed Insights especially on mobile devices.

Thanks, Werner

Thank you Ciaràn,

your advice speeded up everything. I added following to the .htaccess, as GZIP in Joomla compresses only html:
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/css application/x-javascript text/x-component text/html text/richtext text/javascript image/svg+xml text/plain text/xsd text/xsl text/xml image/x-icon application/javascript application/rss+xml
Unfortunately inspite of the compression - the background still appears before the content is loaded. Google doesn't like that.

Nevertheless, thank you for your useful info!

Hi Werner

This transition is the transition for each of your header slides. The yellow is your header background color which will be visible for a second until the first image of your slideshow loads. Your only option would be to try compressing your slideshow images therefore reducing their size and load speed.
