Hi Ciaran,

I recently updated my website to Joomla 5.2.1 and I also went from PHP 8.1 to 8.2. The template I'm using is J51_Skylar4.
Today I created a new thumbsgallery module and inserted the module in an article as I have done many times before. It seems to work but the thumbnails of the photos are not displayed in the page, only tiny dots appear where the thumbnails should be (see attached file and URL link). If I click on the dots, the photos are displayed normally and I can switch from one photo to the next.
I tried in Firefox, Chrome and Safari and on my cell phone with the same result.

Thanks for your help.

Take a look at the pictures in the thumbs folder, could they be defective?

or have you tried a different folder (pictures)? Does that not work either?

Thanks for your reply.

The thumbs folder is empty! (see attached screenshot)
I checked in other folders using ThumbsGallery and there are thumbnail photos in the thumbs folders every time but not here with the new gallery so it looks like there's a problem somewhere.
The module is supposed to create the thumbnails automatically, right?
I just tried again with another new folder to see what happened and I get exactly the same result. The folder containing the large photos is fine but the thumbs folder is empty.
I don't know what to do about it. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Thank you Marc

Details received. It seems that the module is unable to create the thumbnail images to your gallery. Have you noticed any related errors in your PHP log that might indicate why this is the case?

Hi Ciaran,

I actually haven't looked at the PHP log. I just noticed that there were no thumbnail images in the thumbs folder. I'm not sure that I know where to find the PHP log but I'll have a look tomorrow and I will keep you posted.

Thanks.

Hi Ciaran,

I honestly don't know how to find the PHP log. Is it in Joomla or on my web host? I checked in Joomla and the error log was not activated. I activated it in simple mode. Is that it? And then?
I found the error.php file in the log folder but there's nothing about the thumbsnail module on it.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Marc

Have you any log files located in the ./log folder in the root of your Jooma installation?

Hi CIaran

Yes, there are 9 php files in the ./log folder. Here's a screenshot of them - see attached file.
In the "everything.php" file, there are the following lines many times :

2024-11-28T14:47:22+00:00 CRITICAL 2a06:98c0:3600::103 error Uncaught Throwable of type Joomla\CMS\Router\Exception\RouteNotFoundException thrown with message "Page introuvable". Stack trace: #0 [ROOT]/libraries/src/Application/SiteApplication.php(754): Joomla\CMS\Router\Router->parse()
#1 [ROOT]/libraries/src/Application/SiteApplication.php(244): Joomla\CMS\Application\SiteApplication->route()
#2 [ROOT]/libraries/src/Application/CMSApplication.php(306): Joomla\CMS\Application\SiteApplication->doExecute()
#3 [ROOT]/includes/app.php(58): Joomla\CMS\Application\CMSApplication->execute()
#4 [ROOT]/index.php(32): require_once('/home/ucatwckp/...')
#5 {main}

Let me know what you want me to send you.

Thanks again for your help.
