Hello Ciaran, I created various photo galleries for a customer using the Novah template. We set the thumbs to a size of 218x185 pixels, according to his requirements. He complains that the thumbs don't appear good and clear. The clicked images are then in good quality. Even in your template examples, the thumbs are never completely clear. Can this be optimized? Thanks, Reto.

Hi Reto,

I'm in doubt whether Ciaran will like my proposal, but: Did you consider a photo gallery with more capabilities than Ciaran's Thumbs Gallery, i.e. sigplus?

Hello

As Rolf suggested a more advanced gallery extension may offer you more options when creating the thumbs for a better quality image.

One thing that may improve the image quality is to ensure the original image has the same dimension ratio as the eventual thumbs. This will ensure the image ratio does not change when creating the thumbs which can have an effect on image quality.

OK, thanks, I see.
The original image already has the same dimension ratio as the eventual thumbs.

The problem is that the automatically generated thumbs are significantly compressed by the photo gallery module. Couldn't this be optimized, i.e. by entering a less strong compression, with a code?
