Text in Modules vs articles

Hello Ciaran,

I vaguely asked this question before and I want to be clear. I can ask on Joomla forum but it might take awhile to get an answer. Are there advantages or disadvantages to using modules for my text opposed to articles. I am finding that articles are primarily used for blogging, content.

But, if I am only layout out my format and have informational ONLY text such as Titles, explanation, etc., "ABOUT YOU" etc., Why will this info need to be in an article? I've been inserting it in my module design. For example with your template designs as well.. text is placed inside modules..

If the text is something you wish to link to (eg. About Us) then I would suggest creating an article as it is not possible to create a link to a specific module text in Joomla. Modules are considered 'boxes' to be arranged around your article. For SEO purposes it would also be better to place 'about us' type pages within articles so Joomla can handle the meta information correctly.
