With the purchase of the Jasmin template, the testmonials module was included. On the website, which I'm currently developping for a friendly customer, I noticed that the browser's Devtools displays an error, every time the testimonials module is being displayed. The error is:

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for http://[mywebsite]/media/mod_j51testimonials/css/sourcemaps/tiny-slider.css.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE

When I use Filezilla to check the map and folder structure, I see there is no sourcemaps folder and no tiny-slider.css.map file. Is this a bug?

Kind regards,

Danny

Hi Ciaran,

I noticed that you logged on to my new website today. Don't know if it was to investigate this issue, or maybe the other issue that I posted earlier (https://www.joomla51.com/forum/non-supported-mime-type-error-jasmine-template).
However, note that as of today the website has moved to its final destination URL for production. See below for the new URL.

I'm sorry to inform you, that this error still exists:

There is a reference to some sourcemaps folder which does not exist.

Kind regards,

Danny

Hi Danny

Is your site still accessible at https://zinvoldoorleven.nl? It appears to give me a 404 not found error.

Hi Ciaran,

I just downloaded and installed the new version (1.0.2?) of the Testimonials module.
And I found out, why access to the website was blocked: the account I created for you was expired due to the expiration date setting in Akeeba Admin Tools. I changed the expiration date till the end of this month.
Please, check again. If you still cannot access the site, I will take additional actions.

One more question: is it true that this module creates a cookie on the user's computer?

Kind regards,
Danny

Yes, the tiny-slider.js used by the Testimonials module sets data in session storage by default. Would you like me to disable this via a module override?

Thanks Ciaran,

I will check later if the error message has disappeared.

About the cookie: if it is just a session cookie and is set for technicl reasons only, it's ok. If it however contains data that can be used to track or identify an user, than I prefer to be it disabled, if possible.

Hi Danny

Just to correct myself, the data is stored in local rather than session storage. This data can be viewed from your Chrome dev tools (Application -> Local Storage).

Details from the tiny slider docs regarding the data stored...

Default: true.
Save browser capability variables to localStorage and without detecting them everytime the slider runs if set to true.
