To edit the background of your Oxygen template via CSS try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

[code type=css]#body_bg {background: none;}
body {background:#CCCCCC;}[/code]
Where #CCCCCC is your new background colour.

Similar solutions are available for most of our recent template releases. Our Arkadia Joomla template includes an option within its parameters to upload an image as a background to the template.

Thanks for the QUICK response. I am a bit new to CSS editing, so I dont' know if I need to edit a specific CSS file in the "Template Manager: Customise Template page" or open the template options and place the "custom code or custom css" in the fields that are provided in this option page....


Finally, I want the background where the Lorem Ispum Text currently is to be white (right now it is grey). How would I do this?

You can add the CSS code in our Previous post to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (option page - ScreenShot2012-12-13at10.35.33AM.png).

As the background of the content area is image based, to change to white replace the following images with the attached.

../templates/j51_oxygen/images/content_bg.png
../templates/j51_oxygen/images/base_bg.png
