I am using Renovate template but for some reason certain elements have stopped working. Can someone tell me if I update my joomla installation do the templates still work?
I am thinking of purchasing Lifestyle template but need to know it will carry on working when joomla installation is updated further.
Thank you, kindest regards Evelyn

Hi Evelyn

This would very much depend on the version of Joomla you are upgrading from. Presuming you are upgrading to the latest version of Joomla (3.3), you will need to update your template if you are upgrading from either Joomla 1.5 or 2.5. If you are upgrading from Joomla 3.0+ then your current template will continue to work fine.

Hi Evelyn

When did you make your purchase?

To update a template simply install it via your Extensions Manager. No template settings will be lost.

Hi Evelyn

Your templates should be now available for you to download.

Please note that when purchasing a template, that template will remain in your 'My Downloads' for 3 months.

I suspect i have a similar problem.
Bought my renovate template in Nov 13 but after the joomla updates (now 3.3.3) i get some issues with components.
On the components forum it indicates the problem could be a template issue.

If there is an update for the renovate template and my subscription is older than 3 months, should i buy the latetst version or can i get the latest update in an other way?

Best regards,
Robert.

Hello Robert, I understand your problem. I have purchased Chimera and Renovate templates and really like them but am not sure how future safe the templates are when Joomla updates. It seems after three months we can't download a later version - For this reason I am holding back from purchasing another at the moment. I hope you are able to sort your problem. I do find J51 extremely helpful when contacting them.
Best wishes Evelyn

Hello

Robert: Your Renovate template should be now available for you to download.

Ballantyne: You would be happy to hear we have changed single purchase of templates to a lifetime subscription :)
