Hello,

In my website (http://stavrodromion.org/en/) I use Falang translation component. Although I have the opportunity to translate with falang the modules of Haley template, I cannot "translate" some of the parameters of the template such as the logo or the copyright..

Any advise/suggestions on this?

Thank you in advance,

Eri

Hi Eri

Are you referring to the text of the parameters of the template settings?

Actually I refer to the logo and the copyright in particular.

Is there a way for the logo to change among the various languages as well as the copyright message also, taking into account that I use falang as a translating tool?

Thank you again!

Hi Eri

Presuming I understand you correctly, I believe the best solution would be to create multiple template styles. One for each logo/copyright. You can then assign each style to the language(s) and menu item(s) of your choice. For further details on this topic may I suggest the following article... https://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/joomla-basics/creating-multiple-template-styles

Hello Ciaran,

I am afraid I do not understand. Let me tell you an example:

I have Home menu item to which the template style named Home is assigned. The default language I use for the site is Greek and the language for home menu item is set to All as I use Falang component for its translation.
If, as you propose, I create a second template style, ie Home En I don't know how to assign it to the translated via Falang menu item Home, as when I open the translation pop up window for the particular Menu item there is no such field as Template style in order to assign the Home En template to the translated version of the menu item.

I hope this is more clear now..Can you please advise?

Best regards,

Eri

Hi Eri

As I am not familiar with this extension, may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hello Ciaran,

I want to translate the logo and the footer of the following website: http://www.megalorevma.org/el/

As you had helped me accordingly with the site http://www.stavrodromion.org/tr/ is it possible to help me again with the same way?

I mean that then if you see the comment above you had created a custom position n the template of the stavrodromion.org site which you had named logo and copyright accordingly and then you had created a Custom module where we could translate it.

Can you please do the same for the megalorevma.org site too? Can you create a logo and copyright position for the corresponding modules I have already created?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Eri

Hi Eri

Presuming I understand you correctly, can you create a new template style for each language, setting the logo details and assigning it to the corresponding language?

Well I use Falang for the translation and I have not such option as the one you propose.

In stavrodromion.gr we had done it differently..

You had created two extra positions for Custom module..the one you had named it "logo" and the other "copyright".

Is it possible to do the same with megalorevma.gr?

Please let me know if you need the credentials to log in..

Thanks again!

Thank you Eri

It appears, as you mentioned, that you only have one menu for all languages and use your component to translate that menu. You, therefore, have no way of assigning a different template style for each language as the menu assignments do not exist. Have you tried contacting your language component support on this issue? The issue of not being able to assign different template styles to each language would exist regardless of what template you are using so it is likely something they have come up against before and maybe have a workaround.

Hi Eri

If you can provide access to the old and new site, I will copy the module positions from one to the other. Details can be sent to info@joomla51.com. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.
