Hello Ciaran,
how do I get the header slideshox in the "Madison J4" template with a min-height, i.e. a larger height! See the screenshot.

sorry... I switched the Site to https://foerderer-hfmt.de. It should be like your demo. In Joomla 3 is a button "Full header ?"

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

(edit to taste)

#header_bg {

    min-height: 600px;

}
