Template for Blogger w/social media timelines

Hello Ciaran,

So I always love your templates.. and I notice that you do not make templates to include social media timelines. I need a strong blogging template.. which I'm considering Nadia style..it's content driven structure... but I feel like when I embed twitter or facebook into the pages, it takes away from your beautiful designs.

Will you ever make templates that include options for social media timelines? Also I've been researching K2 for template content, no one seems to give a clear indication for its purpose? Is it necessary? If so will you implement it into your templates?

Could you define what you mean by 'social media timeline'?

For details on K2 may I suggest checking out https://getk2.org/. You shouldn't have any issues using K2 with Joomla51 template. Templates do not include styling specific to K2 so the default component styling would be used.

I think you do offer ability to embed social media display.. but if you will already have a template that has it embedded into a module as a single network stream. So all the user would have to do is insert required security keys, etc., e.g., on the demo template would be Joomla51 feed.. user would use that to change to their info. When I embed my own it just takes away from the beautiful designs in my opinion. But as a blogger I need visitors to see these streams on my home page.. Right now you have buttons for people to click on and visit, but streams really entice people to follow.

Thanks for the K2 info.. Is K2 more beneficial? I find it overwhelming and can't figure out if I have to create both a K2 item and article.. or one or the other. I'm finding many new blogs with this feature and just wonder if I should install on Joomla51 templates.. Thanks

HI April

Sorry to say at present we do not offer a module which echos social media stream. If you can find a 3rd party solution we may be able to offer some CSS styling to better integrate the module in to your design.

Regarding K2 may I suggest contacting the developers of the component who would be in a better position to answer any queries you may have (https://getk2.org/).
