I'm just about to start a Restaurant Site and was wondering if you had come across any Table booking Joomla Modules or Components that you liked? . . . .. Asking for a friend!!
Sorry to say, I have no personal experience with a table booking component for Joomla so would not be able to offer you any (honest) advice. Jomres is a very popular booking component however this may be overkill for your purpose.
