Substance Template Home page generates error?

I installed SUBSTANCE on Joomla 3.1. Right after I installed it, everything worked fine. After a few minutes however, the browser showed an error everytime I tried to navigate to the homepage. The error was "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." What is causing this? If i manually put in the URL to another page, for instance, the About Us page, it comes up. But going to the index.php page brings this error. I know its a template issue because when I switch the site to the default Beez3 template, it works fine. Any help would be appreciated!! Hello

Have you since amended this issue as your homepage appears to be opening without issue?
