Generally to get to know a template, i start off with the demo content and start modifying to my liking. this lets me figure out how the template works, get used to the modules etc. im currently doing that for this template but for the life of me i can't figure out something that should be simple.

before the "footer area" it has 3 articles/pictures:

Placerat facer possim
Quam nunc putamus
Velit esse molestie

each of these is an article, each article has the picture shown on the front page of the website.

but if i edit the article + picture, the frontpage still stays the same (text and picture)
if i click on the text or the read more link on the front page, i see my changes.

why isn't the front page pictures/text changing? is this a manual process? if so what do i do?
