"stuttering" text on banner

Hi Ciaran,
we are using the Caitlin template. We have a 4-photo header image gallery going that was set up within the template parameters, working great. I have put the title&logo on a module (called "Banner Slideshow";), type J51Carousel, in the Showcase position. I have only put in one entry with the title&logo, which is meant to stay on top of each image. This is working also, except that after the photo changes to the next photo, then about 1 second later the text flashes / or "stutters". Is there anything I can do about that? should I put in 4 entries with the title&logo in the Carousel module instead of just one?

Hi Tami

As this is static text, rather than using the Carousel module try placing your title & logo in a 'Custom' module instead (Extensions -> Modules -> New -> Custom).

Hi - that worked to fix the stuttering, thanks!
However, I had more choices of fonts using the Carousel module vs the CustomHTML module.
Is there a way for me to specify a font (such as Palatino, Droid, etc) for that text in the new CustomHTML module? there is limited choice in the editor.

Hi Tami

Presuming your desired font is loaded in your templates parameters you could set the font-family inline. An example might look like the following...


<p style="font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif;">Your text here!</p>
