The error message clearly points to an issue with ModSecurity, a security module running on your web server.

Most likely, one of its security rules is being triggered when you try to save the template settings, causing the request to be blocked.

I would recommend the following:

1. Check your hosting control panel to see whether ModSecurity is enabled.
2. If possible, check the ModSecurity or web server logs to identify which security rule is being triggered when saving.
3. If necessary, contact your hosting provider and ask them to adjust the specific rule or create an exception for your website.

I wouldn't recommend permanently disabling ModSecurity entirely.

Since the issue only occurs when saving the template settings, I suspect that certain form values within the Sophia template are triggering a security rule.

I've been working with Joomla51 templates for many years and have already updated several of them for Joomla 6. I've also come across similar issues with other Joomla installations.

If you can identify the specific ModSecurity rule being triggered, we should be able to narrow down the problem fairly quickly.

Hello and thank you for your reply! I did get in touch with my hosting provider and was able to get them to "whitelist" the URL where the error was being triggered. That seems to have solved the problem.
