Social media on cashmere

Hi Guys,
Trying to get the social media icons working, but no joy, where can you do this

They just jump to the top of the page, I want them to jump to the facebook, and other pages.

I have tried copying the url's into the template manager area but all I get then if the fB icon appearing behind the main menu and not linking to anything!

Are they hidden in a module somewhere? I have been through every module and can't find anything.....

Hi Nick

Your social icons are setup from within your templates parameters. From your Joomla admiinistration navigate to Extensions -> Template Manager -> [YourTemplateStyle - 'J51_Cashmere - Default' -> Social Media Icons. Add your social URL to each corresponding field.

As I said when I paste the url it places a facebook logo if you follow the link you can see it.

I want to hook up the social media icons at the bottom of the home page, the ones that are animated.

You can see the logo hidden behind latest news.

Does not seem to have any relation to the animated social media icons at the bottom of the page.

Hi Nick

My apologies. The icons in question in the footer of your page are created using the J51_Icons module. Navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager and set the 'Select Type' option to J51_Icons.

In Cashmere it's not in social media icons it's in J51_Icons at the footer of the page, pasting the code in there goes nowhere?

Have you added it to the 'Icon URL' field within your modules parameters? This has been tested and works without issue.

Yep sure have Ciaran

When clicked just opens a new window if I have new window clicked with the address in the browser bar, if I don't have the new window clicked it does nothing.

When we click your email icon an new email window appears from our email client. It is possible that you simply do not have an email client defaulted to open a mailto link on your browser?
