Second time trying to post this. First time pushed submit and got a site error.

I'm trying to add a Mastodon font via Font Awesome in the "Custom Icon(s)" area on social links in Hayley.
It holds a place for the icon and works if clicked but is not visible.

All that said I'm using the same Font Awesome code as you had me use on Layla on my own website which is fab fa-mastodon and I've also used it for Behance as well and zero issues.

Many thanks for your help as always,
Alison

Hi Alison

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

[class^="fa-"]:before, [class*=" fa-"]:before {
font-family: inherit;
}

Hey Ciaran
I added the new Custom CSS as noted above and when I got to the file I found the previous code advised of;

.fab {
font-family: "Font Awesome 5 Brands" !important;
}

I pulled it and added the new but still no joy. I also tried changing the prefix of fab from the template social area and nothing there.

I've sent you login info at your gmail.
Thanks again,
Ali

Hi Alison

I have added the following to your Custom CSS field and cleared your cache which appears to have resolved the issue.

.fab {
font-family: "Font Awesome 5 Brands" !important;
}
