Slideshow - php error

Hi, I'm running the add-on slideshow with the template Neptune. And recently, an error came up on the slideshow:

Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in modules/mod_briaskISS/mod_briaskISS.php on line 19.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

I would suggest using the J51 Slideshow module which has replaced the Briask slideshow used on some of our older templates.

I am using the one from the arkadia template.

I can't figure out how it's not working. I can see the code updating with each new image, but the z-index isn't referenced.
