Hello again!
I see that you altered the slideshow on the homepage to display all of the image in portrait on mobile devices in response to a request a few months ago.
As this distorts the image considerably, I would rather mobile devices display a portion of the slideshow image.
Could you point me to where I can make the necessary changes?

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian

Would you have a URL to an example of your slideshow?

Hi Ian

May I ask on which device are you finding your images distorted? On the few device we have tried your slideshow retains the correct aspect ratio on your slideshow images.

On both my iPhone 5 and 16Gb iPad in portrait mode. They work fine with http://demo.joomla51.com/0128/ but not on the version installed by your good selves on Friday last week. The anomaly is there on the stock images as well, not just on the ones I have uploaded since. It's as if the slideshow fills the rest of the frame below the title bar. The effect is also there when I alter my browser window on my MacBook Pro or my iMac to represent mobile portrait mode.
On landscape everything is fine.

Hi Ian

Just to ensure we are both looking at the same thing, could I ask you post a screenshot of your slideshow indicating the issue you are having?

Thank you Ian

That is very different to what we are seeing.

May I suggest clearing the cache on each device you are seeing this as they appear to be loading old CSS. Failing that you can send us temporary FTP access to the root of your Joomla installation and we will examine this further. Please paste a link to this post in your template for our reference.

Ive found out that it is something to do with Safari browsers on IOS devices.

I asked a few people to check this on their devices yesterday in case it was a cache issue and they all reported the same anomaly in Safari.

In Firefox and Google chrome it works fine.

However, your template demo on your website does not display this issue. Only the one you uploaded to my site does this.

You still have access to my hostpapa account as I have not changed the passwords yet.

Ciarán you're a star.

Now get yourself away to the pub. You've earned it.

Many thanks

Nice one... thank you for the update!

As good an excuse as any... not that we need much of one! :)
