Search bar - dimension image

hello people!
I've a little problem with the "Search" field. I tried many different solutions, but if I use the image (magnifier lens) this is the result... (see attachment).
Do you have any idea about how to fix it?
the search field is a module in header-1 with public access.

I'm using J51_Magnolia template. The URL is http://www.dialoghinumismatica.eu/joomla30/
the search menu is actually in "header-1" position

Hello Ciarán and thanks for your support. I followed the instructions but nothing as changed.
as you can see, the result is exactly the same. Also on the responsive layout there is a overlay.
How can we fix it?
