This field of the templates parameters uses the 'repeatable' Joomla field type (https://docs.joomla.org/Repeatable_form_field_type). This field type has been noted as having some issues on earlier versions of Joomla 3.x (https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/issues/5868). May I suggest updating your Joomla installation to the latest version of Joomla which should hopefully resolve this issue for you.

I currently have version 3.4.5 installed which is the latest version I believe. This was the version prior to the template installation.

My apologies for the delay in noticing this however our Revolve template does not include header background and header image slideshow options. Options available will vary from template to template depending on the template style.

Hi Ciaran, when looking at the demo server of the template under template features it does show that it has image header slideshow and it provides a visual guide of the template settings on how to set the parameters. On the demo template it shows a slideshow or images below the social media icons with several pictures and tabs, how is this looked achieved.

This area of the template was created using the J51 NavSlideshow module placed in to 'showcase' module position. You will find an install package for this module in the same folder of your download as your template install file.
