In the LayerSlideshow module settings, try setting the Overlap Header if in showcase-1# module position option to No.

I am using demo content to start building the website and the Overlap Showcase 1# is set to No.

I am trying to restore the height of the mobile view slideshow so I can install the Advanced Module extension so I can display the title text in a mobile version of the slideshow.

Presuming I understand you correctly, try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

@media only screen and ( max-width: 1180px ) {

  #container_showcase1_modules + .content_main {

    margin-top: 0 !important;

  }

}

That worked perfectly except when I made use of the Advanced Module Manager to create a mobile version of the slideshow using the paragraph for the title caption, it is showing a narrow caption which cuts off a portion of the caption.

I am using the same Advanced Module Manager for my website https://starlightwebdesign.com where the mobile caption works great but not on the website that I am working on at the domain http://tempdomain68.site.

If you check out both websites you can see what is happening on the http://tempdomain68.site vs the https://starlightwebdesign.com website.

Again, I appreciate all of the custom CSS coding you have provided in the past.

To amend try replacing the suggested CSS with the following which should give you a lot more space on smaller screens for the caption text (edit to taste)...

@media only screen and ( max-width: 1180px ) {

  #container_showcase1_modules + .content_main {

    margin-top: 0 !important;

  }

  .layerslideshow .info {

    padding-left: 0;

    padding-right: 0;

    font-size: .5em;

    padding-bottom: 0;

  }

}
