I am trying to optimize the code used in my website and was wondering how important dropdown.js is. I doesn't seem to really do anything that couldn't be done with CSS. Is there something that I may be missing?
The dropdown.js is for the animated dropdown menu in your top (hornav) menu position. If you have no dropdowns then there is no need for this script. Ensure to also remove the link to the script in your templates scripts.php (../templates/j51_renovate/php/scipts.php).
