Remove Hover on news item image

How do I remove the hover background on my news item images? It is darkening when I hover over them. I'd like nothing to change - just keep the image as is.

Also is there a way to have all of the news items the same height?

Hello

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

    display: none;

}
