question about changeable background pictures

This may sound dumb but I am a novice...I am trying to change the background picture on Metropolis but I can't get one to show up...does it have to be a specific size to work and if so how big. The ones I have tried are 1200X800 and 2500x1600 pixels. I thought it might auto size?

No size should not really be an issue. Would you have a URL to an example of a page where your background image is not appearing?

Your current background image is called neon blue cross background.jpg. Try renaming this to neonbluecrossbackground.jpg as not all servers will accept spaces in file names.
