Since upgrading to PHP8 at our content provider our website shows a blank white page with an error message: "Fatal error: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported in ...(path)..." Even the admin account is not working, so our only possibility would be going back to PHP7, which is no longer supported. :( Or does anybody know another solution? Or are there templates that work with PHP8 (and others do not)?
Thank you for helpful answers and hints!

Hello

Considering your admin is also not working would suggest that this is not an issue with your template but instead an issue with one of your plugins. The frontend template will have no effect on your administration.

Could you try disabling all 3rd party plugins and modules and see if the issue persists. If not then you can enable them one by one to find the offending extension(s). Also might be a good idea to set your error logs to maximum, Quite often the error would give you a clue to the offending extension.

Thanks a lot! I went back to PHP7 in order to get admin access again. Then I tried disabling and/or updating different modules and extensions, as you considered. In the end it was Akeeba Backup. Now the problem does not occure anymore, even after re-upgrading to PHP8. :)
