Greetings,
On an iphone, see this Joomla 2.58 site using Presence:
http://www.peacewithjustice.com/

Two issues:
[ol]
[li]The menu item JUSTICE is a text-separator. It has two levels of drop-downs which don't show up.[/li]
[li]We would like the sidebar to display on the bottom of mobile devices, not the top[/li]
[/ol]

thanks,
Hope

Hi Hope

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine these issues further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hi Hope

1. Have you since amended this is as we are unable to replicate the issue?

2. We have amend this by adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
#main {
display:table;
}
#content_remainder {
display: table-row-group;
float: none;
}
.sidecol_a, .sidecol_b {
display: table-footer-group;
float: none;
}
}

Please note that Joomla 2.5 is no longer supported and would present a strong security risk so I would suggest updating if at all possible.

The site looks great now, thanks so much!

But regarding the menu. When you visit the site on a phone and click on JUSTICE in the menu, do you see the drop-down, like it shows on a desktop? I'm wondering if TEXT SEPARATOR menu items can work on mobile devices?

Hi Hope

Have you considered updating your Joomla installation to Joomla 3? This will allow you to avail of the latest version of our Presence template which includes a more responsive mobile menu (eg. http://demo.joomla51.com/0131/).

Ciarán, thanks.
I did get permission to upgrade to Joomla 3. Can you point me to the best tutorial you know of? Will I need to update the template after upgrading to Joomla 3?Or, do you offer this service?

Hi Hope

May I suggest the following article on updating your Joomla version....

https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_2.5_to_3.x_Step_by_Step_Migration
https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/joomla-video/jooml25-to-joomla3/
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?t=793171

Yes your current template version will not function with Joomla 3.x. To update your template simply install the Joomla 3.x version of the template via your Extensions Manager.

Ciarán, thanks.

The site is now Joomla 3. The menu works great but the logo has disappeared. I tried these techniques and cleared the cache but still no logo:

http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/re-sizing-your-logo-for-smaller-screen-devices

ALSO, I see that the site takes about 40 seconds to load. Any thoughts about how to speed it up? AMP?

Hello

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

#header {
min-height: 130px;
}

Hi Hope

Site speeds appear to be fine (http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/c5Pvkc/http://www.peacewithjustice.com/) with test results showing a 2 second load time.

If you really want to increase site speed you could try loading your site through a CDN like Cloudflare however the difference would be minimal.

Thank you for checking, Ciarán. My host tried it on his phone and it took 15 seconds the first time. Maybe my connection was bad at the time I checked it. Anyway, we're okay. I so appreciate the support you offer your clients. It means everything. Have a good weekend.
