Placement of Language switcher flags - Oxygen

I would like my language switcher flags up in the right hand of the header next to the hornav or at least in the right hand of the footer.
I tried every available position and none looks good and some don't seem to show up at all.
The footer position works to the left but the flags stacked vertical for some reason and it looks horrible.
I could go one about how frustrated i am at templates and joomla. The whole point of choosing joomla was because what i want is so simple and common. I wanted something easy and it's turned into a nightmare and at this point should have done the whole thing myself in java. I'll be very happy to buy the template but not until I know it will work for me. Please help while i still have hair left on my head :)

Super!!! I can see my flags! i'm so excited.
Do you know where I can set the background transparent. It's not here:
#newmodule {
position: absolute;
background-color:transparent;
There is an outer container with a grey background.
Also I would like the flag horizontal or at least with a space between them. Right now they are just stacked on top of each other.

Try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters..
