Using Chimera on J! 2.5.6

An article split onto multiple pages by page breaks puts the links at the top of the article rather than at the right-hand side, as expected. (Browser doesn't matter.)

Is there a template-specific setting that needs to be changed to return to Joomla! default behavior?

update:
This may be a problem in Joomla itself, if the PHP is reporting an incorrect width for the article. The one this concerns is a short sentence followed by five png's that are each placed on separate virtual pages.

If you notice in the attached png, the width of the 'header' line holding the print and email icons is only so wide as the images themselves, rather than the full width of the content window.

The PHP appears to be computing a required width based on the positioning of the images. Then it wraps any text that appears in the same article to that width. After this, it appears to limit the 'available' formatting width solely to that computed for placing the images. These articles (with pngs) are never formatted using the entire width of the component field.
