Hi ciaren,
First, let me say, I've been using your Oxygen template and have been very happy with it.
My site search has stopped working. I have the search module enabled (in the default position) and it used to work fine. It just seems to have stopped working. Can you point me to what the problem may be? Thanks for your help.

Hi Jazzman

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you Jazzman

I changed your search settings to display the search button and then hid the button using some CSS...
.search .button {display: none;}
This appears to have solved the problem.

Hi ciaran,
Thanks for taking a look. It works only when the search button is enabled (when I take the above code out). When I hide the button, it gives the same issue again.

Ok appears to only work in webkit browsers (Firefox)..

Try changing the display:none CSS to...
.search .button {margin-top: -999px;}
Ciaran,
I just realized I do not know what you changed to make the search button displayable in the first place. I understand how to hide it now. But inorder to replicate the fix on my production site, I need to know the first step. What did you change to make the search button appear?

Thanks for your help again.

To edit the search field settings create a new search module (Extensions -> Module Manager -> New -> Search). Ensure to set the position of the module to a position that doesn't exist on the template. You can then use this module to set your search field settings.
