Hello,

I changed the background image and saved the new file in the same directory and with the same name as the original file (style1/header.jpg).

For some strange reason, when I reload the web site I still see the old header.jpg.

Do you have any ideas where I am going wrong?

Hi David

Are you been prompted to overwrite the original file when you upload your new header.jpg?

No, I am running on my own computer so I have nothing to upload.

I renamed the original header.jpg as header_old.jpg and built a new header.jpg

I expected to see the new header.jpg but I still see the old one.

The directory I am using is:
C:\xampp\htdocs\diprod\templates\j51_oxygen\images\style1
Where diprod is the name of my website on my computer.

It sounds like your browser may be loading a cached version of your site... have you tried a full refresh (CTRL + F5)?

First of all thanks it has worked.

However, it took 2 (CTRL + F5).

Also, I had switched off my computer for many hours, shouldn't the cache have been released?

Hi David

This would largely depend on the cache settings of your browser and on your server.
