Hi,

I tried to setup the latest oxygen template on a 3.0.2 environment. But I have a problem when I try to edit an article from the front end. I can see the edit-icon but nothing happens if I click on it. This happens with all users (even admin). When using the beez3-template everything works as expected (I can see a link "edit" which refers to the editor).

Do you have any idea what is going on here?

Thanks,
Timo

Hi Timo

I have installed the latest download of the template (http://www.joomla51.com/templates/j51-oxygen) and it now appears to be working without issue. Your original template is still available if you wish to duplicate template settings to the new template install.

I am having the same problem using Joomla! 3.1.1 and the free version of this template: the "Edit article" form appears, but clicking any of its tabs produces no result (i.e. you cannot configure the publishing options).

Hello

Installing the latest version of the template should resolve this issue. I have made it available for you to download at the following dropbox URL.. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/69136519/J51_Oxygen_unzip1st.zip

I am having the same problem with Joomla version 3.1.5 - the frontend editor save button does not save but the cancel button functions correctly. I downloaded the latest free version. Switching to a default Joomla template, such as protostar, the save button functions as it should.

I have also built a local Joomla instance and replicated the problem on this newly installed system. The template also produces numerous warnings and errors.

Any help to correct this issue would be appreciated.

Hello

Have you downloaded the latest version of the template from here... http://www.joomla51.com/free-templates

Other sites may not have the most up to date version of the template.

This is the only site I have downloaded from. I downloaded the latest free version from this site.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled with this latest version but the save button still does not work when editing articles in the frontend.

The error reported is:
"TypeError: document.formvalidator is null"

hi,

i think the best would be appending to this topic since i am experiencing some problems with this template as well.

basics: i am using the most recent version of joomla 3 (which happens to be Joomla! 3.2.0 Stable [ Ember ] 6-November-2013 14:00 GMT) and the (what i think) most recent version of your oxygen template, at least i just updated it with the version from your downloadlink above even though the site (backend) still says version 2.0 from april 2012 but thats probably more a slip from the template-xml, i just checked the file i downloaded, same info there.

now for my problem about which i am not 100% sure if its a flaw in the template or rather an error cause by iso layer 8 (which would be me ^^) but see yourself:

when i use "featured articles" to display several articles in colums plus 1 leading article, everything is fine.
http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/30/

if i do the same using the category blog it looks like this:
http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/30/index.php/home-2

already checked, if i alter the div tag <div class="items-row cols-2 row-0 row-fluid clearfix"> manually (inside chrome for example) into <div class="items-row cols-1 row-0 row-fluid clearfix"> everything looks fine.

bug? working as designed and just a user "abusing" your template in a way it was never meant to be used?

same thing happens at http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/30/index.php/aktuelles

and (for example) http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/30/index.php/termine/year.listevents/2013/11/20/- which is a jevent-page or http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/30/index.php/gemeindebrief do look like i got a 2 cols layout instead of 1 column.

already tried the "trick" from the demo page for two column layout,

<div class="col-2"><div>First column of your content...</div></div>
<div class="col-2"><div>Second column of your content...</div></div>
<div class="clear"></div>

adapting it into "1 column layout" (putting "<div class="col-1">" into the article instead) but didn't work.

PLUS - to stay on topic of this thread: i CAN open articles to edit them, but "save" doesn't trigger anything - at least nothing that i'd notice. but thats more of a sidenote since most of the editiing happens through the backend anyways.

Hi, has this been resolved yet? I have installed the latest up to date free template to no avail. I am still unable to save in the front end.

Really would like this to work as I have spent the last week searching for a decent free template to no avail, the oxygen template is the one I would love to use.

Thanks in advance

@MrFreezer: Sorry but we somehow completely missed your posted. I realise this this is probably way to late but are you still having these issues?

yepp i already figured, you did ;)

but i didnt want to nag and somehow forgot about it too. been kinda busy the last days.

no the problem is still existing, even tho we already "launched" the new site.
the links in the former posts are still uptodate, you just have to remove the "30" behind the domain...

http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/30/index.php/home => http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/index.php/home for example.
except that i deactivated "http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/index.php/home-2"; because it was a duplicate just for texting porposes but you can see the same effect by looking at http://ev-luth-kg.spelle.net/index.php/aktuelles too

Hi MrFreezer

Could I ask you to try renaming your templates com_content folder (../templates/j51_oxygen/html/com_content) to com_contentxx and see if that amends the issue.

only mod_menu, modules.php and pagination.php

or am i lost in navigation? ;)

The issue was related to the version of mootools loaded by the animated dropdown menu. The issue is resolved in the latest download of the template (http://www.joomla51.com/free-templates).
