Hello,

On the Novation template:
- When clicking the social icons, how can I make the content open in an other tab?
- RSS feed: when clicked I get a page of source code - see attached file. How can I get it right? It works on Firefox and IE but not Chrome.

This is the URL of my site: gamblingintegrity.org

Thank you!

Hello

1. In your templates header.php (../templates/j51_novation/php/layouts/header.php - line5) replace the following...

<?php if($this->params->get('nav_rssfeed_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_rssfeed"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_rssfeed'); ?>" title="RSS Feed"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_twitter_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_twitter"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_twitter'); ?>" title="Twitter"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_facebook_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_facebook"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_facebook'); ?>" title="Facebook"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_myspace_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_myspace"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_myspace'); ?>" title="MySpace"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_blogger_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_blogger"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_blogger'); ?>" title="Blogger"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_stumble_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_stumble"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_stumble'); ?>" title="Ebay"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_google_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_google"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_google'); ?>" title="Google"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_flickr_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_flickr"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_flickr'); ?>" title="Flickr"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_linkedin_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_linkedin"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_linkedin'); ?>" title="LinkedIn"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>

With...

<?php if($this->params->get('nav_rssfeed_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_rssfeed"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_rssfeed'); ?>" title="RSS Feed" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_twitter_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_twitter"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_twitter'); ?>" title="Twitter" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_facebook_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_facebook"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_facebook'); ?>" title="Facebook" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_myspace_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_myspace"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_myspace'); ?>" title="MySpace" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_blogger_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_blogger"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_blogger'); ?>" title="Blogger" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_stumble_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_stumble"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_stumble'); ?>" title="Ebay" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_google_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_google"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_google'); ?>" title="Google" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_flickr_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_flickr"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_flickr'); ?>" title="Flickr" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>
<?php if($this->params->get('nav_linkedin_sw') == '1') : ?>
<li class="nav_linkedin"><a href="/<?php echo $this->params->get('nav_linkedin'); ?>" title="LinkedIn" target="_blank"></a></li>
<?php endif; ?>

2. By default Chrome does not have an RSS reader installed. To view an RSS feed, users of Chrome must install something like 'RSS Feed Reader'... https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/rss-feed-reader/pnjaodmkngahhkoihejjehlcdlnohgmp?hl=en

Thank you Ciaran, it worked well.

But I now have a problem with Twitter timeline display. I have used an extension to display it but it didn't work, so I created a custom module (with user editor - None) and still have the same result (see image). How can I have it displayed properly?

Thank you!

Hi Sarah

Have you since resolved this issue as your Twitter feed appears to be now displaying correctly (tested using Firefox)?

Thank you Ciaran,

It still doesn't work on Chrome but it is a problem related to Chrome not the template...
Thank you for your reply, will try to fix it.

Have a good day!
