Novah Custom.css not loaded and broken backend

Hello.
I just purchased Novah for J4.
Fresh install on new website (no migration, no update from older versions).
The backend is broken (see attachment) and custom.css is not loaded despite the activated option

how can I solve?

update: i loaded a configuration json from old website and backend is now fine... that is soooooo strange

another update: reinstalled Joomla from zero again, backend works fine but custom.css still not loading

Sent, but solved meantime.
I manually added "$document->addStyleSheet('templates/' . $this->template . '/css/custom.css');" to index.php
