Presuming you wish to use this area on other pages of your site, you will need to create a separate template style specifically for your homepage to which you will add the display:none CSS. For details on creating multiple template styles please check out the following tutorial... http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/creating-multiple-template-styles

Hi Ciaran,

yes. this would be nice.

Have a look here:

http://www.videeopix.de/design/index.php

I won't show the container with the "n",

I tried to add this
:
#container_main {display: none !important;
}
but of course there was no content shown on every menu. Not so good.

Not sure if I understand you correctly. You wish place some modules on your homepage but leave the component/article area blank?

hi cirian,
yes, I know this, but I won't show any article on the main page, only modules.

I use know module anywhere and place a module in the article homepage.

HI Grit

In Joomla you can set your homepage menu item by simply clicking the star under the home column next to the menu item of your choice (Menu Manager). Creating a menu item linking to the article of your choice and then setting this menu item as 'home' will place it as your homepage.
